A wandering, flamboyant and charismatic artist who changes during the course of a day. Vincent can wake and be one person and go to sleep as someone else. Found and adopted by the wealthy Fontaine family, Vincent grew up a dashing young aristocrat who soon got bored from his privileged life. To distract himself from his sense of ennui, he finds a great deal of joy in pushing the limits of social convention with his art and upsetting traditional expectations but is starting to unravel under the pressures of the cultured world.
Vincent's tale starts when a courtesan gets gunned down before his eyes and leaves a mysterious note with his father's name on it.
When he finds out his father is a potential murder victim, he persuades his friend Gottfried to play into the villainous scheme and make conjury his highest achievable art.
Disguised as a wealthy steel magnate, Vincent discovers that his father voted against the gold standard and that a currency reform commission, under the command of the infamous Goldschilds, wants his father dead because of it.
In of answers, he saves the courtesan Rosa Leyen and meets Rocco, who, drenched in blood, is mercilessly hunted by the Goldschilds.
Even though Vincent finds himself dragged into Rocco's manhunt and blood begins to flow, he still manages to visit his father. Unfortunately, he finds out some enigmatic apache has already kidnapped his parents, demanding the life of Rosa in exchange for theirs.
During the opening of his new play, he witnesses his parents' fate from the stage, falling victim to his own illusions.
